Crusaders played Wright Christian Friday September 29 and after a week of hard work and preparation for the team They walked away with a devastating loss 47 to 0.

“The turnout was not expected but the boys picked it up in the 3rd quarter.” sophomore Trinity Blackwell said, who was in attendance.

In the first half the boys were scored on 41 times in the 3rd quarter the boys held them to 1 touchdown.

“The boys played hard but we didn’t show up the first half.They definitely picked it up in the 3rd quarter.” Head coach Curtis Pettyjohn said.

After having a week to prepare for this team. The outcome of this game was a shock to everyone. It was truly devastating to watch heartbroken players walk back to the locker room.

“I think we lost focus by getting so intense and we didn’t do our assignments correctly but. I think we played our best.” Junior Mingo Valley student Trenton Cox said.

The team plans on beating Eagle point on Friday October 6, senior night, and the color run.

“With good hard work in practice I think we can beat Eagle Point Friday.” said Coach Curtis Pettyjohn.”

Recap of Girls volleyball season

The high school Crusaders volleyball team’s season as of now, have two wins and eight losses. They are coming up on the tournament and enter the field with a high seed. The girls hope to win the championship which would also be Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy’s first place award ever.
